Visual & Digital Effects Supervision

This page has galleries of some of the productions I have been involved with. The most recent is the film “Bunraku” for which I was Associate VFX Supervisor. As this film is still in post-production the gallery has very few pictures and some have had details blurred to ensure confidentiality.

I have always said that every production that has any form of visual effects work needs to have a VFX Supervisor throughout a productions full life cycle from pre-production through shooting on set to the end of post production.  A good supervisor can save a significant proportion of the production’s budget. Far too many productions have cut costs at the shooting stage by not having a supervisor on set, only to have to spend far more money on post work than they should just to salvage the project. “Fix it in Post”, in my experience, is never a cheap solution. It can also mean that the end result is not as good as it ought to be.  No matter what the project I do care a great deal about the end result and getting the best for my client within the constraints of time and money, and above all else, choosing the most appropriate creative techniques and route best suited to final delivery.
